Cleveland Construction Returning As Small Change Offshore Racing In Clearwater

“I have always enjoyed the sport and will remain supportive of all teams and clubs,” said Mark Small, the owner of the team. “We will also bring with us a medical support boat to the race venue as we always have.”

For the first time since exiting the sport near the end of 2018, the canopied catamaran appeared on the racecourse at last month’s Race World Offshore event in Dunkirk, N.Y. (Ed Smith and Rich Quandt ran the cat.)

“I have been in this boat before and look forward to being in it again,” said Broaddus, who ran his famed Broadco MTI catamaran in the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix and St. Clair River Classic with Mark Niemann earlier this season. “It’s a fast boat and it has every chance to win.”

The team’s return to racing in Clearwater and Dunkirk could be just the beginning for Small and company, he said.

“We are currently speaking with a few sponsors for the 2020 season,” he said.
